Well, I decided. Socks it is!!! Mom's birthday is coming up in Feb. and since I purchased the yarn with her last year, I figured it was time to start on them. I'm using Sockotta because this mama has some hot feet. It's a blend of cotton, superwash wool and nylon so I'm hoping it will be cooler than 100% wool. I'm using the Garter Rib pattern in Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I really like sockotta. They hold up well. Does yours stripe? There are also some cute patterns from Plymouth(?) to make baby sweaters with sockotta. Happy knitting!
